2017 Popping season is OPEN

The Jefferson Home show on Saturday March 25 & 26th kicked off this year’s kettle korn season for Kettle Korn By Matty.

It was a crummy, rainy, dreary, foggy weekend which then makes popping kettle korn that much more difficult due to the moisture in the air.  Plus it makes for difficult working conditions for us.

We were blessed to have our son Josh with us as he learns to be a master popper so that he can run his own crew at the Harry Potter Festival in October held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.  We are super stoked about that weekend and it’s only March!

We do have some good news as we have invested in a second popper that is the 80Qt Lil Slugger with an automatic stir feature.  It will take us some getting used to, however it should produce more yumminess faster for us!

We also staffed a table at the Inaugural Spring Shopping Extravaganza at the Cambridge Winery in Cambridge, WI on Saturday March 25th and enjoyed meeting new people who came to shop and yes gobble up some yummy kettle corn.

During our weekend adventures we met some great people including Barbara Endl, Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Hope in Jefferson, WI and Jennifer at The Cinnamon Stick in Madison, WI.  Fingers crossed new partnerships will form with these two awesome ladies in the upcoming future.  Stay tuned for sure!

A huge thanks to all who came to both events this weekend!  Especially, Melissa, Krista, Paul, Karen, Richard, Susan, Steve, Art and I am sure we missed others.

Hopefully this video will come through – if not click on the link to our Facebook page to view our awesome “Assistant Manager” Jonie who staffed our table at the Cambridge Event on Saturday.
